Lanzhou Vacuum Equipment Co., Ltd., whose main body is Lanzhou vacuum equipment factory, is a state-owned backbone company and research center of Chinese vacuum technology and mechanical industry. It was founded in Shanghai, and named as Shanghai Shuguang Mechanical Factory. In 1965, it was relocated in Lanzhou, Gansu province and renamed as Lanzhou Vacuum Equipment Co., Ltd., due to the strategy to establish northwest vacuum equipment base to boost Chinese war industry and development of science and technology. It is the first-class enterprise of Gansu province and the second-class member of national archive and measuring management.
